Quiet day in Foz do Iguazu
Foz de Iguacu, Brazil, South America
I didn’t get up to much today, but it was pretty relaxing. I had to check out of my hostel at 11am, so I got all my stuff together and headed out then. I left my bags at the hotel, and just brought my laptop to the mall down the street. It’s really nice to find a place like that where it’s air conditioned and you don’t feel like you’re going to sweat to deal.
I grabbed some lunch in the mall and hung around for about four hours just working on my blog. I finally got completely updated today, which I felt great about. I’d been writing every night, but just not been able to pick out all the pictures to upload or have decent wifi to upload the posts. Well today I was able to do that, and I was very happy about it.
I went back to the hostel around 4:30pm, got all my stuff and then got a taxi over to the bus terminal. I am on a night bus now that should be about 17 hours in total, heading to Florianopolis. I’ve met a very nice Canadian couple who are heading the same way, and have a very similar itinerary after Florianopolis too. It’s always nice to know other travelers on the way, and Graeme and Hillary seem very nice. Now hopefully I’ll be able to get a few hours sleep on the bus tomorrow, and then can catch up tomorrow when I get to the beach!
