NFL Sunday and Dinner with Andrea

NFL Sunday and Dinner with Andrea

Cuenca, Ecuador, South America

I did nothing today except watch NFL football, which was great! I thought about heading down to Loja this morning, but I figured that since it’s Sunday and I have good wifi here, I might as well take advantage and watch football while I can. I only left the hostel to go to Subway to get lunch, and I spent the rest of the day watching football. I got to see the Pats beat the Raiders in their home opener, but it was an ugly game. But as Julian Edelman said after the game, an ugly win is better than a pretty loss.

I met up with Andrea for dinner at 6:30pm and we had a nice walk before we finally got to the restaurant. We walked down to a mall across the city center, got a juice, and then decided to go back to a restaurant in the city center. The food was pretty good, and we were so stuffed after that we couldn’t even go next door for an ice cream. We were really full.

We shared a taxi back to my hostel and I said bye to Andrea. It’s been really nice getting to know her over this past week and she and her family have been so nice to me. It’s made my trip to Cuenca a lot nicer than it would have been if I was on my own. Tomorrow I’m off to Loja. Not too sure what to expect, but I need to start heading south toward Peru…
