Kamala, Thailand, Asia

Today was our last full day in Phuket and we were praying for a little bit of sunshine. We didn’t get it. Unfortunately, it rained all day, just like the rest of the week. We spent the morning making a plan for tomorrow and a tentative plan for the week coming up. We’re going to fly to Koh Samui tomorrow at noon and spend a couple of nights there. Flying is only a little more expensive ($85) than taking a mini bus and ferry, but we’ll save ourselves about seven hours of travel time. We’re really hoping that the east coast will be a bit sunnier, so we’re eager to get over there ASAP.

We went back to Kamala to try and sort out a taxi to the airport for the morning, and got a bite to eat for lunch. We went back up to the resort and Lynne laid by the pool for a few minutes while the rain stopped and I just chilled in the room. We grabbed a few more drinks at happy hour at the resort bar, and then came back to the room and watched some of Modern Family season 2. If the weather stays like this for the rest of the trip we’re going to burn through all the movies and TV shows I have with me! Hopefully that won’t be necessary after today though, come on sun!!!
