Chill day and P.F. Changs
Bogota, Colombia, South America
I had a great night’s sleep at Colombia at Home, so I felt really energized this morning. I went out and did my laundry near the hotel, got some breakfast, and then got a bunch of stuff done back here that I’ve been procrastinating on. Just answering emails and filling out hotel reviews, things like that, but they’re all things I needed to get done and have been putting off.
I went up to Melissa’s office to meet her at 6pm, but she ended up having to work until 7pm. We went out for dinner at P.F. Changs (which I couldn’t believe was in Bogota!) and had a great dinner! Melissa can’t believe that I didn’t actually like the Chinese food in China when I was there, because she felt like what she had when she was there was like P.F. Changs. Our experiences couldn’t have been more different. I hated the food in China, but I love “American” Chinese food.
Either way, I loved our dinner at P.F. Changs. We had a few courses and just enjoyed having the time to chat, so our dinner ended up being a 3+ hour affair. It was great though. It’s been so nice having someone to talk to who I have so much in common with, I just wish she was able to take more time off from work to come traveling. I guess I’ll just have to look forward to our trip to Machu Picchu.
