Kamala, Thailand, Asia

We got up today and had another unbelievable breakfast. It’s now at the point that I can’t wait for tomorrow just so I can go have breakfast again. It’s a very nice change from hostels where you normally just have white toast with blackcurrant jam, and nothing else. This luxury is very nice. Unfortunately, the weather isn’t as great today and it was pretty overcast all day. Lynne was out in the sun anyway trying to soak up any rays that were making their way through the clouds, and I chilled in the hotel lobby using their wifi to watch the Red Sox game.

At 5pm we got the last shuttle down to Kamala and went for dinner at this little restaurant on the beach. I had the best pad thai chicken that I’ve had since going to Galaxy Restaurant in Rhode Island. It was a little spicy and had so much flavor it was just awesome. Lynne said her seafood salad was the best she’d ever had as well, and I took her word for it. It looked disgusting.

After dinner we tried to pick up our laundry from the tailor, but he said that the clothes were hanging out to dry and it started raining so they are now wet again. So we have to go back tomorrow to pick them up now. I’m not thrilled with that, but it is what it is. Now we’re back at the hotel and it’s time for more Modern Family. This is the life!
