Tennis without Melissa; US Embassy

Bogota, Colombia, South America

I got up early this morning and got a taxi over to Melissa’s house, even though she was working. I was at their house by 7:15am, and we headed off to the tennis court. Vanessa, Luz Mery and I picked up German on the way to the courts, and the four of us played doubles for two hours. It was really good. I was Luz Mery’s partner, and we won the first few sets we played, and more importantly, we got to hit the ball around for a couple of hours.

We had a bite to eat in the cafeteria at the tennis club, and then headed back to the girl’s house. I got a quick shower there and then grabbed a taxi down to Melissa’s office. We went out for lunch at Crepes & Waffles next to her office, and it was great, as usual.

After lunch I grabbed a taxi to the US Embassy to get there for the Emergency Hours of 2pm-3pm. I went in to the office and issued my paperwork, and was very surprised to see that almost no one in the whole embassy spoke english! All the security guards, and even the officer addressed me in Spanish, but luckily the officer could speak English as well. I’ll have to go back tomorrow morning to have an interview with an agent there.

I got the taxi back to my hostel and hung out until Melissa met me after she finished work. We went over to the Atlantis Mall and went to the cinema to see John Wick. It was a little too violent for Melissa’s liking, but I liked it. We went back to the hostel after the movie and passed out for a nap for about two hours. At about 10pm Melissa got a cab back to her house since she didn’t have her stuff for work tomorrow. I’m gong to bed right away because I’m absolutely knackered.
