Baru, Colombia, South America

I had a great relaxing day today in Baru! We got up around 8am and went for breakfast together at the big buffet restaurant. It was so nice to be able to get an omelette made, waffles, pancakes, french toast, real american bacon, and the freshest fruit possible. Everything was really delicious. After breakfast we all headed down to the swimming pool in front of the spa and relaxed there for a while. We went back up to the buffet restaurant for lunch and then headed down to the beach for the afternoon.

Melissa and some of the others wanted to take a nap on the beach, but since I can’t fall asleep when I try to nap, I decided it would be a good time to work on some of my blog pictures and whatnot. I sat in the bar and worked on my computer for a bit and tried to think of any other place in the world I would rather be. I couldn’t come up with anything. It was just so beautiful and peaceful, it was a perfect setting. There is also no internet here, so it was nice to not have any distractions and I could just enjoy the peacefulness.

After they woke up from their naps we hung out in the ocean for a bit and then went for a walk down the beach. We wanted to get some kayaks, but we were too late and missed them for the day. We’re going to try again tomorrow to see if we can get some early in the morning. Since we had some time before dinner, Melissa, Vanessa, Juan Carlos, Paola and I played Jenga, the drinking game. It was excellent! Each piece had something written on it like “Have a drink with the player of your choice” or “Make a rule”. It was really fun.

We all got ready and then went for dinner at the Italian Restaurant called Al Forno. The food was really good, but the highlight of the night was how good the girls looked. Melissa, Vanessa, Paola, Luz Mery and Leo all got dressed up for dinner, and they all looked phenomenal. After the best meal I’ve had here at the resort.

After dinner it was time for us to hit the night club. There is only one club here on the resort and apparently no one comes to this place until well after midnight. The DJ is completely horrible, but at least there is something to do at night. Melissa has forced me dance a few times already, and tonight was no different. We tore it up until about 1:30am and I’m ready to pass out, We have nothing to wake up early for though, so another good night of sleep could.
