Another relaxing day on Magnetic Island
Magnetic Island, Australia, Australia
Today was a very relaxed day at the hostel. We woke up to have a Bushtucker’s Breakfast at 8:30am, followed by a guided tour through the wildlife sanctuary. The breakfast was excellent! It had everything you would want from pancakes and French toast to bacon and lamb chops. It was brilliant. We continued on to the tour where we got to hold a python, a few types of lizards, a crocodile and a cockatoo. We also got to see a few koalas in their trees, but they are incredibly lazy so didn’t care too much about us being there.
The rest of the day consisted of sitting in the pool for about 5 hours, and taking a short break to walk to the convenience store for a slushy. Linda, Patrick, Lisa and I ate dinner at the hostel, and had a few drinks, and then we parted ways. Tomorrow I’m off to Townsville and the two Kiwi’s are staying on Maggie Island. Patrick will be back over for university later in the year, maybe I’ll run into him if I come back up in the dry season. But it’s off to Townsville tomorrow for me!
