Eagle’s Nest in Bavaria

Eagle’s Nest in Bavaria

Salzburg, Austria, Europe I got to spend another day in the beautiful mountains today, and it was great. I packed up my stuff and left it in a locker at my hostel for the day and went out to catch a bus. I got the 840 bus from outside of Mirabell Palace and it was a nice 45 minute ride up to Brechtesgaden. I then switched onto the 838 bus to go to Hintereck, which is at the base of…

Train to Salzburg

Train to Salzburg

Salzburg, Austria, Europe I got to see some really beautiful scenery today on my way to Salzburg. I got the train from Ljubljana at 9:22am and I had one transfer at Villach. It’s so annoying that I can’t just use it in my room. I left the hostel around 10am and walked into the city center. The first place I came across was Belvedere palace. It was stunning. I walked past it yesterday but never went…

Morning in Bratislava; Evening in Vienna

Vienna, Austria, Europe I ended up staying up until just after midnight watching the Red Sox win to stop their ten game losing stretch. I figured that while I have good wifi and the Sox were playing at a sensible time for me, I might as well take advantage of it. I’m glad I did. I then woke up at 6am because my windows had white blinds that did a horrible job of blocking out any light. In fact, I…
