NFL Sunday in Castro

NFL Sunday in Castro

Castro, Chile, South America

I had a quiet day in Castro today, which was perfect considering it was NFL Sunday. I had a walk around town, just to see if I had missed anything yesterday, which I hadn’t. I got a massive burger for lunch, and then came back to the hostel to watch football. I’ve decided to stay here again tonight because the internet is just so good and I really want to watch the Patriots vs. Colts game tonight. It doesn’t look like there’s any point in me hurrying to get up to Ancud, so I’m going to leave that till tomorrow.

I managed to get a lot of stuff done tonight too. I found an Airbnb apartment for my time in Rio for Carnival in February. Within ten minutes of sending a request to the owner, she responded and I have it booked for a week, which is very exciting. It’s also really cheap ($45 a night), and I don’t have to worry about a bunch of drunken teenagers at a hostel keeping me up all night or stealing my stuff. I’m happy about all of that.

I also got to talk to Melissa for a couple of hours on Skype and we managed to sort out plans for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. She and her family have invited me to spend the holidays with them, so I booked a flight to Bogota on Christmas day and then we are going up to the Caribbean coast to stay at an all inclusive resort for a week at New Year. It’s going to be awesome! I’ve also just finished watching the Patriots dominate the Colts in Indianapolis, so this quiet day has ended up being pretty perfect all around!
