Planning and football day

Puno, Peru, South America

I had a nice, quiet day of planning out my next couple of weeks and watching football. It was really nice to relax and not do much today. I walked around the town a little bit and there was some sort of festival going on around the main square. I have no idea what they were celebrating, but there were a lot of colorful outfits and drums, and they all seemed to be having a good time.

I have a tentative itinerary for my trip through Bolivia and into Chile, so I feel much better about that. I also got to watch a couple of good football games, so that was nice too. I met up with Karin and a few of her friends for dinner to celebrate Karin’s birthday. They had already celebrated last night in Arequipa, so they were all still a little hungover, but we had a nice dinner anyway.

I’m back at the hostel and have to get packed up to leave in the morning. I have a 7:30am bus ride to Copacabana, Bolivia, so it’ll be another early rise for me. I’ve had an awesome time in Peru, but looking forward to Bolivia. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, so I’m excited to check it out for myself.
