On to Trujillo

On to Trujillo

Trujillo, Peru, South America

I got my bus to Trujillo this morning, and it was pretty nice. The extra $2 was well worth it because the seat was really comfortable. It had a foot rest and the chair reclined almost all the way, so the time flew by pretty quickly. I was really surprised to see how dry the north of Peru is. It is completely desert. Whenever I think of Peru I think of Machu Picchu, which is very green. I didn’t realize just how different the north of Peru is from the south.

I got to Trujillo and jumped in a taxi to get to my hostel called Munay Wasi, which is pretty much just an old lady’s house. It was pretty nice, and the lady running the place was very helpful. She even spoke english, so that was really nice.

By the time I got there, most of the sights were closed already, so I just grabbed some dinner and then chilled at the hostel. I’m planning on going to some archaeological sites tomorrow morning, so it should be a good full day for me. I’m looking forward to my first day of sight seeing in Peru.
