Last day in Colombia; Flight to Paraguay

Asuncion, Paraguay, South America

Today was my last day in Colombia, and I’m really sad to be leaving. I love that country, and I would stay a lot longer if I could. Melissa and I had breakfast at Hotel Egina, and then she had to head off to work. I chilled at the hotel until about 11:45am, and then got a taxi over to Melissa’s office. I had my bags with me, so I went up into Melissa’s office for the first time to see where she works and to leave my bag while we went for lunch. I also met her boss Florencia, who I’ve heard a lot about, and it was nice to put a face with the name.

We went for a really nice lunch at an Asian restaurant called Osaki. Melissa wasn’t feeling too well, so she kept it light, but it was still really nice to go out and enjoy a nice lunch with her before heading off. After lunch we went back to her office so I could get my bags, and then I got a taxi over to the airport.

I got to the airport more than three hours before my flight was going to take off, so I had more than enough time. I got through emigration and security in no time at all and was able to just chill for a bit and use the free wifi at the airport. I figured out where I’m going when I get to Asuncion, and booked my hostel for Puerto Iguazu, in Argentina.

My flight took off on time from Bogota at 6:10pm and by 7:30pm we were in Panama City. I had only about an hour an a half in that airport to wait and now I’m on the next plane on my way to Asuncion, Paraguay. I should wake up there in the morning and then have a few hours to wait for my next flight to another city in Paraguay. Let’s hope they don’t bring me to the wrong airport or anything…
