Istanbul, Turkey, Europe

Today was another travel day. Unfortunately I didn’t get to do much today, but it was pretty relaxing anyway. I checked out of my hotel at 11am and got my shuttle to the airport in Kayseri. The plane took off on time and I was in Istanbul by 3:30pm. Unfortunately, my last hostel was full, so I had to find another one. There was one right across the street so I’m staying here for the next two nights, and then going back to Antique Hostel for my last night in Istanbul.

My current hostel, Yakamoz Guesthouse is not terrible, but not nearly as good as Antique Hostel. For the same price, I’m happy to go back to Antique for my last night here. I dropped my stuff off in the room and went out for a walk around Sultanahmet. It was nice weather today and it looks like I should get some sun over the next couple of days too. Lucky me.

I grabbed dinner at a little cafe that had Turkish pizza, which was excellent. It basically looked like a normal pizza that was stretched out, and it was really tasty. After dinner I just came back to the hostel, made some phone calls and chatted with my roommates. One guy is from Korea, and the other is American. Nice guys, both into travelling, it’s easy to meet people in hostels.
